Mike Starr knows how to speak to kids. He’s not just a boxing coach, he’s a mentor who meets young athletes where they are and earns their respect. The discipline and focus he builds in the gym shows up everywhere else in their lives.

Every session is structured to challenge kids at the right level, celebrate progress, and build the kind of confidence that lasts a lifetime. Parents notice the difference within weeks.

  • Progressive skill levels, kids always have a next goal
  • Zero-tolerance environment for disrespect or bullying
  • Celebrates improvement, not just performance

Learning Starts Before the First Punch.

Proper hand wrapping, correct glove fit, stance fundamentals, Mike covers all of it before kids ever throw a combination. Building good habits early means better technique, fewer injuries, and a much faster path to real skill.

This attention to detail is what separates Mike’s youth program from a regular gym class. Kids don’t just stay active, they actually learn boxing the right way.

"My son was being bullied at school and had no confidence. After 3 months of boxing with Mike, he carries himself differently. He doesn't get bullied anymore, not because he fights, but because he now believes in himself. Can't thank Mike enough."
